My name is Anna and I took a leap of faith and started Lavender House in 2023. Following a lifetime of dreams, I left the Biotech industry after almost 15 years to pursue interior design.  I’m a mom of two young kids and a not so young golden retriever.  I never met a DIY project I didn’t love, and if there’s a bargain to be found, I’ll find it.  Vintage decor is my love language but I’m not afraid to put it next to modern lighting.  Balance, functionality, personality and warmth is my approach.  Your home should tell YOUR story.

While I do love the flower, ‘Lavender’ is actually a family name.  As a child, I can remember playing in this fabulous old house, built in 1845, in the middle of a field on our family farm.  We called it the ‘Lavender House’ after the last name of the family members who built it.  When I dreamed of starting my business, I knew exactly what I would call it.  It celebrates my roots, the women in my family and their fabulous style, and the appreciation I have for classic design and architecture.
